Lori is a self-taught ONE STROKE™ Certified Instructor. She learned much of the One Stroke™ technique by herself and by books by Donna Dewberry. After 4-5 years of painting she decided to take up the challenge and feel more confident about herself as a teacher and get certified, by Donna Dewberry, herself, at Kasswood in Toronto in April 2001. She is currently teaching from Nanaimo (at Michaels Craft Store), and has and will teach at Community Centres in Parksville and Qualicum Beach and Nanaimo and also local colleges as adult night classes in Nanaimo, Port Alberni and now Courtney/Comox. She paints on walls for people, and does commissioned pieces too. She is a distributor of ONE STROKE™ supplies in this area.
What is ONE STROKE™? It is a blending of 2-3 colours on a brush to create your hi-lite, low-lite in "one stroke." It is a revolutionary new technique of decorative painting that has hit the folkart world. Each glass is handpainted with a BAKED ON ENAMEL paint, they are therefore GUARANTEED DISHWASHER SAFE! The glasses shown are ready for delivery, however, if there is a special occasion (for example champagne glasses matching the brides bouquet), colour or preferrance of your own idea....custom orders are always welcome.
