Canadian Artists Directory and Inspiration

This message board is in response to the overwhelming amount of requests for information on Canadian Artists and/or their work who are NOT listed on CanadianArtists.ca or possibly the entire World Wide Web. Please try and search the Internet before you post on our message board.
Here are some search tips for you to try:

Go to a popular Search Engine such as Google.ca or Yahoo.ca.
Search for key words specific to what you are looking for (name, location, title of a work of art/song, important dates etc.) Use only those likely to be used on a web site or in reference to what you seek, root words are mroe helpful "paint" instead of "painter", "dance" instead of "dancer" and remember to stay away from common words like "and".
Be patient! If you don't find what you are looking for right away, grab a cup of tea and peruse each site listed for as many pages as you can tolerate. Sometimes you may only find a reference after many pages, but that reference may give you new key words to search with leading you to either a web site or a more substantial article. Good Luck!!
